The Understudy

Introducing … the game where I randomly select three photos from my iPhone and post them to my blog

And here’s how it works:

The first photo is selected by my closing my eyes and scrolling through the photos until I feeeeeeel like I might have found an interesting one.

1. Bon Fire at Glen Davis

Can you believe I helped light this fire myself!? That spectral figure in the background is me, dreaming of a macaroon.

The second photo is selected by my looking at the time, and then turning it into an integer. At this point I match that integer to a photo with the same integer in my iPhone. Clever, huh?

2. My father at Christmas

My father is an academic and all round scholarly sort, but at Christmas he really cuts loose and smiles coyly for the camera.  See how we look alike around the eyes?

The third photo is selected by my calling my colleague Mia* and asking her to choose a three-digit number at random. Today our conversation went like this:

Mia: Hi Lucinda, what do you want?

Me: I was just wondering if you could tell me a three-digit number.

Mia: Do you have any specific three-digit number in mind?

Me: No. Just one that you think would be nice.

Mia: Okay … how about 214 … that seems like a nice one.

3. My friend Chloe next to some dudes leg 

This photo features Chloe sitting on a piece of chipboard with wheels attached. Just in case you were wondering, the brand of tobacco she smokes is Champion Ruby.

So there you have it, even though I’m not playing shows at the moment, I have still managed to entertain you. Neat, huh? Keep your eyes peeled for next week’s installment of The Game Where I Randomly Select Three Photos From My iPhone And Post Them To My Blog.

 

*FYI Mia’s job in my company is to provide people with information about my company should they wish to call a hotline and ask her questions, so I feel like it’s only right I call her for my third photo.
